1. ARREST OF ARMED ROBBER/RECOVERY OF WEAPON (‪#‎EDO‬ STATE): On 12.04.2014 at about 9:00AM upon a distress call of armed robber, Police Patrol team was dispatched to Atichebe Street ‪#‎Uromi‬ where they met a gang of armed robbers in the act. One of the hoodlums (male) was arrested and one locally-made Pistol and a BlackBerry phone snatched from one of the victims recovered from the suspect. Efforts to apprehend other gang members that fled the scene are being intensified. State CID ‪#‎Benin‬ is investigating.



2. ARREST OF ARMED ROBBER/RECOVERY OF WEAPON (‪#‎KADUNA‬ STATE): On 14:04:2014 at about 12:20PM Police Patrol team along Kaduna-Abuja Expressway intercepted a group of men at Gonin Gora area. As they were being questioned, the men took to their heels, they were chased and one of them arrested. One locally-made Revolver Pistol was recovered from the arrested suspect at the scene, efforts to apprehend the other gang members are being intensified. State CID Kaduna is investigating.

3. ARREST OF ARMED ROBBERS/RECOVERY OF VEHICLE (KADUNA STATE): On 18.04.2014 at about 11:20AM, upon a distress call, Police Patrol team responded to a scene of armed robbery at a Hotel along Television road, Kaduna where the hoodlums where meet in the act. One of the hoodlums was fatally injured and two others arrested after a shootout, one Honda Accord car used by the hoodlums was recovered where other gang members fled the scene with gunshot wounds. Efforts are ongoing to track down the fleeing suspects, State CID Kaduna is investigating.

4. ARREST OF ARMED ROBBERS/RECOVERY OF WEAPON (‪#‎OSUN‬ STATE): On 20.04.2014 at about 11:15PM, Police Patrol team arrested two armed robbery suspects beside Skye Bank Ikiru and recovered 4 loaded Pump Action guns from them. State CID ‪#‎Osogbo‬ is investigating.

5. ARREST OF CAR THIEF/RECOVERY OF VEHICLE (FCT ‪#‎ABUJA‬): On 14.04.2014 at about 3:30PM Police Patrol team at Wuse Market intercepted a car thief as he was escaping with a stolen Honda Accord car with Reg No. AA 562 GWA. The hoodlum sustained bullet wound in the process of his arrest, he was confirmed dead upon arrival at Wuse General Hospital. FCT CID is investigating.

6. RECOVERY OF WEAPON/ARREST OF SUSPECT (‪#‎ANAMBRA‬ STATE): On 14.04.2014 at about 10:30AM, upon information SARS operatives raided a location at Onitsha Main Market where an illegal arms dealer (male) was arrested. Following weapons were recovered at the scene; six Pump action guns, one Revolver Pistol, Six thousand three hundred and ninety (6390) cartridges, Sixty two (62) rounds of 5.65mm ammunition, Seventy four rounds of 9mm ammunition, One hundred rounds of 0.22mm ammunition, Twelve magazines for AK47 rifle, two magazines for K-2 rifle, some dismantled parts of AK47 rifle, one round of smoke canister and one round of 7.62mm ammunition. Suspect linked to illegal sales of weapons to bandits. State CID Awka is investigating.

7. RECOVERY OF WEAPON/ARREST OF SUSPECT (ANAMBRA STATE): On 14.04.2014 at about 10:45AM Police Patrol team at Upper-Iweka Onitsha arrested one male suspect and recovered one locally-made Pistol from him. State CID ‪#‎Awka‬ is investigating.

8. RECOVERY OF WEAPON/ARREST OF SUSPECTS (‪#‎RIVERS‬ STATE): On 15.04.2014 at about 10:58AM, Police Patrol team on Stop and Search at Rukpokwu, Port-Harcourt intercepted one Red colour Toyota CarinaII car with Reg no. ABIA AJ 871 EZA with two male occupants. Upon a search one locally-made Pistol with one live cartridge was recovered from them. Both suspects arrested and exhibits recovered to the Police Station. State CID Port-Harcourt is investigating.

9. RECOVERY OF WEAPON (ANAMBRA STATE): On 15.04.2014 at about 6:15PM a male armed robbery suspect in an ongoing investigation led SARS detectives to a location at the Onitsha Main Market where Police recovered the following weapons; Three Pump Action guns, 24 rounds of 7.62x51mm ammunition, 20 rounds of 5.5x45mm ammunition and 50 rounds of 7.62x51mm ammunition. State CID Akwa is investigating.

10. RECOVERY OF WEAPON/ARREST OF SUSPECT (‪#‎EBONYI‬ STATE): On 15.04.2014 at about 6:30PM Police patrol team arrested a male suspect at Ulepa-Ntezi and one locally-made pistol was recovered from him at the scene. State CID ‪#‎Abakaliki‬ is investigating.

11. FOILED INSURGENT ATTACK/RECOVERED EXPLOSIVES (‪#‎BAUCHI‬ STATE): On 14.04.2014 at about 01:00AM Police Patrol teams responded to a distress call at a Construction company at Yana, Shira LGA where unknown gunmen stormed the premises and loaded their vehicle with explosive material used for construction purposes at sites. Combined effort of security forces engaged the hoodlum in fierce gun battle and hoodlums were forced to flee with gunshot wounds abandoning the explosive laden Pick-up van and motorcycle. Efforts to apprehend the suspects are being intensified.

12. FOILED INSURGENT ATTACK (BAUCHI STATE): On 16:04:2014 at about 11:45AM, Joint security forces at Misau town engaged suspected insurgents who stormed the town in three Hilux vehicles in fierce gun battle. Hoodlums who had come in a bid to unleash mayhem on the populace of the area were forced to abandon their mission having been over powered, they escaped with bullet wounds. Joint security forces are on the trail of the fleeing suspects.

13. ARREST OF SUSPECTED INSURGENT: On 17.04.2014 at about 02:30AM, Police Patrol team on Township Patrol of Makurdi intercepted a suspect and upon a search three different ID cards bearing different names were recovered from his person. Suspect claimed to have come from Maiduguri, Investigations ongoing.
