The American University of Nigeria, Yola, is seeking a Waiter/Waiteress. This position is a local one open to indigenous and/or legal residents of Nigeria.

Job Title: Waiteress

Location Adamawa
Department: AUN Club

SUMMARY OF POSITION:
A waiteress takes orders for food and beverages from patrons in the university club café. He/she provides input and makes suggestions to menus for special functions and revisions to daily lunch menu.  He/she also assists with suggestions for substitutions of items on menus for smaller functions when requested by manager, and menu substitutions based upon inventory.

Position Requirements:
•    Minimum six months experience in the food service industry.
•    Good spoken English and cheerful personality.
•    Good knowledge of continental cuisines.
•    Giving full attention to what other people are saying.
•    Service Orientation—actively looking for ways to help people.
•    Neat appearance.

Other requirements, abilities for the position:
•    Energetic, dynamic personality
•    Ability to perform consistently under pressure and to work cooperatively with others.
•    Ability to represent the Club in a professional manner

Description of Benefits:
Salary and benefits are commensurate with experience and job classification as approved by the University.
