Reporting to the Executive Director, the successful candidate will have responsibility for hiring employees, disciplining and motivating employees, harmonize employment processes in all the subsidiaries of the group, appraise and promote workers, ensure the welfare of workers, assess productivity of staff and recommend rationalisation where necessary. The successful candidate will also liase with and advice shareholders on the process of Nigerianisation of workers by reducing the number of expatriate workers.

Desired Skills and Experience

The person: The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 10 years practical working experience in a multinaltional group engaged in manufacturing and trading. Part of that experience should have been acquired as Human Resources Manager.

Must be a matured man with self confidence and strong character, able to manage and control both foreigners and Nigerians. Must be between the range of 40 and 45 years of age.

Attributes: High visionary and strategic thinking skills. Managerial and leadership skills. Good interpersonal skills and persuasive power to motivate people, self confidence and negotiation skills.
