Job Title: SSA Financial Reporting Leader

Role Summary/Purpose:            
The Regional Financial Reporting Leader role in Global Operations – Finance reports to the SSA Record-to-Report Leader, and is responsible for all financial reporting activities in all countries in Sub-Saharan Africa. The role is responsible for leading financial monthly/quarterly close in line with US GAAP requirements and building partnerships with other GE Businesses.

Essential Responsibilities:           
- Full responsibility for ensuring accuracy and completeness of accounting entries in accordance with US GAAP requirements

- Performing monthly/quarterly reviews of the financial statements of all management entities (MEs) to ensure integrity

- Drive consistency in the quality and timely delivery of financial statements to other GE Businesses monthly/quarterly

- Lead monthly/quarterly close activities – driving the closing calendar, balance sheet/P&L reviews and representation letter submissions for all MEs in the region

- Lead the timely completion of GAAP-to-STAT (G2S) reconciliations for all MEs in the region

- Drive the timely completion of Ledger tie-outs, reconciling balances in different systems on a monthly basis

- Support all financial audits in the region by coordinating the provision of required financial data, reports/analysis

- Provide leadership to a team of financial accountants in several countries in the region – responsibility for the training and development of the team

- Support the Regional Record to Report Leader in the implementation of the requirements of the Enterprise Standard in the region

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or other business related field and 6 years progressive accounting or finance experience

- Professional accounting qualification (e.g. CA, CPA, ACCA, ACA)

- Demonstrated proficiency in U.S. GAAP, local GAAP, IFRS and authoritative accounting literature (i.e. FASB pronouncements)

Role Summary/Purpose:            
To test subsea equipment according to standard operating procedures in compliance with HSE and Quality requirements

Essential Responsibilities:           
-Responsible for the assembly and test of equipment ensuring policies and procedures are stringently adhered to prevent HSEQ issues which should be carried out in a timely manner as per the work order routings.
-Ensure the traceability records of assemblies.
-Plan and implement an accurate and full handover to the appropriate person on the next shift.
-Responsible for ensuring that area of work is maintained hazard free and tidy.
-Produce relevant documentation on work.
-Oversee the production quality goods, on time.
-Participate in continual improvements for safety and throughput.
