The company has decided to start the search for an experienced Project Manager and the position will be based in Port Harcourt.

Job Title: Project Manager

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers

Job Responsibilities

    Monitors and reports on the progress of the project to all stakeholders.
    Conducts regular meetings with project team members to update them on progress made or changes in scope of deliverables.
    Undertakes authorised purchases of project items in line with the organisation’s procurement policies and procedures.
    Identifies and liaises with equipment vendors for prompt hiring or procurement of equipment required for operations.
    Facilitates and monitors the mobilisation of tools and leased equipment to project site.
    Monitors the supply of goods and provides logistics support for projects including requisitioning, receiving, storing, issuing and processing payment for goods.
    Coordinates the prompt installation of newly acquired assets/facilities on project sites.
    Monitors the efficient and safe utilisation and storage of special equipment and facilities on the project site.
    Establishes and maintains good working relationships with vendors, suppliers etc
    Maintains a proper record of expenditures, receipts, waybills etc, throughout the course of any project.
    Analyses the nature and causes of errors to identify areas needing improvement throughout the project life cycle.
    Refers suspected fraud cases for review and investigation.
    Follows up with clients where necessary regarding unpaid bills.
    Works to ensure that items and equipment are stored securely and transported promptly and safely to project sites.
    Works to ensure a smooth flow of communication, advice and technical support between project team members.
    Prepares regular reports to keep the Head- Project Management abreast of developments in projects.

Job Requirements

    Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Logistics Management or a related discipline.
    Minimum of five (5) years experience in Projects/ Logistics Management PMP, CAPM
    Experience with projects in the oil and gas industry will be an advantage.
    Good project and change management skills.
