JOB POSITION: OPERATIONS MANAGER

JOB PURPOSE:
Represent the company in all aspects related to the operational base in Port Harcourt . The overall responsibility for the safe and efficient operation within the sphere of authority ; Stimulate supervise , direct and evaluate the performance of the key within the organization operational personnel to protect the best interests of business at any time. Manage and optimize the functions of the base to support all operations in Nigeria.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Spot checks to ensure the effective implementation of core assets and personnel for operational needs.
  • Make sure that spare parts and consumable usage is kept under reasonable control without affecting the efficiency of operations and the quality of maintenance.
  • Financial Responsibilities :
  • Participate in the preparation of the budget to ensure the understanding of the levels of activity required .
  • Cost control basic functions of the analysis of common costs. Identify ways to improve efficiency and reduce costs wherever possible.


QHSE RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Make sure that the client and the company’s commitment to safety reaches all levels of the operation.
  • Ensure compliance with QHSE policies undertaken by all staff .
  • Perform work assignments at the highest quality in accordance with the policies, roles and responsibilities .
  • Promotes and radar system to ensure that it is followed by crews.
  • Ensure that the waste management plan is followed.
  • To drive thanks to its leadership in effective security staff being responsible for the administration and implementation of QHSEMS by BMS .
  • To ensure a safe working environment safe for people or the environment.
  • QHSE issues to resolve at the time of identification. and ensure fast and accurate communication of events to the management of the line.

OPERATION:
Ensure that the assets and the basic functions are sufficient to meet operational needs .
Support operations through effective use of the functions of the workshop and support.
Manage and monitor the use of resources in the area , equipment and staff to minimize NPT.
Supervises and directs logistics and duties.
Promote and market other WFT products in line with the vision A Weatherford .

HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT :
  • To encourage personal development for planning by the organization in conjunction with the managers.
  • Provide supervision of all staff to ensure a safe and professional level of performance and to ensure that the team keeps a— of technological changes in the industry.
  • Ensure that training programs are maintained in accordance with the matrix organization of training for all support staff.
  • Recommend skill based promotions , salary changes , transfers, disciplinary actions where identified .
  • Encourage and support the personal development of employees to take on the responsibility of their duties.
  • Take immediate action on issues of improving performance and live a culture of direct response (positive and negative ) to the employee, obtain rapid feedback .
  • Organize operations in the area by the delegation of authority and responsibility at the appropriate level of supervision.
  • Promote and support the nationalization when possible and applicable .
  • Maintain regular contact with the operations staff by personally visiting platforms / yards .
  • To take responsibility for staff in all to ensure a disciplined workforce motivated and productive , especially for being a good listener and reserve time for review .
  • Evaluate each direct report annually on the basis of feedback constant turnover . Driving assessment throughout the unit to formalize the performance management process.
  • Agree and monitor key financial safety , improving business processes and personal goals for each direct report.

BUSINESS PLANNING / CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT / ORGANIZATION EFFECTIVENESS:
  • Maintain contact with the competition in the area to monitor commercial and levels of performance activities.
  • Create and edit any proceedings if it deems necessary for the use of the difference in the political process and / or in partnership with a support function and the final approval of headquarters .
  • To initiate , conduct and take ultimate responsibility for the continuous improvement initiatives to ensure that the internal processes within the organization to respond to business needs.
  • Support, promote and actively participate in the CAP of the company ( insurance competence Programme) process .
  • Ensure that all work is performed in the requirements and guidelines of the BMS business processes .
  • Must ensure adequate logistics company staff , materials and equipment and anticipate / correct any problem.
  • Agrees with the direction to initiate and monitor all major maintenance and repair , in collaboration with the Ministry of maintenance.
  • Must ensure a rapid and detailed reporting in writing of any problem with the transaction.

CUSTOMER / PUBLIC RELATIONS :
Develop and maintain effective relationships with customers.
We must keep good communication with customer representatives and ensure misunderstanding or miscommunication do not develop within the workforce.

Any other delegated responsibilities as instructed by the direction of the line within the time specified in a safe and efficient manner to meet business requirements , provided the instruction is reasonable and you are capable and deemed competent to fulfill these last .

Skills and experience required

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
PC knowledge in Microsoft Office
Fluent written and spoken English
Engineering / DUT / MBA
Second foreign language
Over funding for non- functions – finance

EXPERIENCE / SKILLS:
Weatherford mainly promotes supervisors / coordinators experienced in this position . The new recruits will preferably have current experience as a Mgt Ops in a transaction services company .
